Wage Slavery 03:01
Who’s gonna tell us the truth? Who’s gonna tell us the truth? What means today for you Working class hero? It’s a new age No one is a hero Wage slavery We live below the zero The promises sound good But nothing only that We’re exploited to exist On every minute It’s a new age No one is a hero Wage slavery We live below the zero Who’s gonna tell us the truth?

The Clench 03:05
Boots marching on Down the streets Side by side Proud of who we are We stick together United we stand Shoulder to shoulder With our heads held high Clench, Clench, Clench Shoulder to shoulder! Clench, Clench, Clench Side by side! Clench, Clench, Clench We stick together! Clench, Clench, Clench Our way of life!

Some dirty lies In the news made me smile The bullshit propaganda Never gonna stop They will keep control But we’re not gonna break We know our rights Bread and butter every day Working Class! United forces! The other voices, voted against us We stand together for our rights Six o'clock in the morning The factory sounds, Same faces every day Old same story, another day in hell Working Class! United forces! You’re not one of us We live our lives And we’re still crucified

You walk through the dark No lights you can see You know you won't make it It's just a Dead End Street Clenched fist, blood on ya face You struggle to survive No where to go! Cos! It's a Dead End Street A Dead End Street A Dead End Street There's no way out! When you feel the knife on your throat You hit the nail on the head Then you gonna realize the rules of the street Clenched fist, blood on ya face You struggle to survive No where to go! Cos! It's a Dead End Street A Dead End Street A Dead End Street There's no way out! Blood on your face Clenched fist You struggle to survive No where to go! It's a Dead End Street x7 There's no way out!

I choose my way many years ago To give my soul for Rock’n’Roll Forever young, loud and proud Feel the rhythm and hit the town That’s right! From the bottom of my glass More than music it’s your life Stumbling around to get home Backstreet, backstreet Rock’n’Roll Memories you hold never fade away The first time you shaved your head Getting hammered with the lads Your first record, backstage pass That’s right! From the bottom of my glass More than music it’s your life Stumbling around to get home Backstreet, backstreet Rock’n’Roll

Our Life 02:48
Politicians and they lies They’ve made so many plans But nothing good for us The ones who built this land They’ve been left behind Our Blood! Our Pride! Our Strength! Our Life! Our Mark! Our Way! Still Remains! Still Remains! This is our life! x3 Politicians and their plans They’ve told us many lies But not reward for a simple man We’ve been left behind We know our time will come Our Blood! Our Pride! Our Strength! Our Life! Our Mark! Our Way! Still Remains! Still Remains! This is our life! x3 We've been left behind x3 We know, our time will come! This is our Life!

about

A amazing debut from this new Oi! band straight out of the Dungeons from Scotland (halfway between Glasgow and Edinburgh). Arek, Mito, Samu and Pawel formed The Clench in late 2021 and recorded this 6-track Mini-LP in early 2023 at Gracenote Studios (Durfemline, Scotland). The band is formed by European immigrants, Arek is Polish and has sung in bands like Last Stand (SCO) and Static Shock (SCO). For his part, Mito is Galician by birth and has played guitar in Galician bands like Skulldog and Fred And The Perrys, just to name a few bands...

The Clench sing in English, sound hard and forceful, but without losing a bit of melody thanks to Mitos experience of almost two decades of playing the guitar in several bands and it shows on each of the songs that make up the album. Pawel's fine bass lines, Samu's perfectly executed drums, as well as Arek's raw vocals, blend perfectly, leaving you at the end of the album wanting at least one more songs.

The album starts with "Wage Slavery" (Who's gonna tell us the truth?) reminiscent of Condemned 84's "No One Like us" and ends with "Our Life", perhaps the best track on the album, which has a German Oxymoron feel to it. The Clench's sound reminds me of a mix between the Americans Legion 76, The Prowlers and maybe something from the early years of the Scots On File and Bakers Dozen.
