I ignite 5 more minutes of cancer

There must be more to this life we're living
Than getting pissed to drown our sorrows
Cause alcohol brings on riots
It's gonna mean no life tomorrow

There's a kid waiting on your street corner
with such antipathy to disrupt this world
And if they'd curved him when he was younger
Would he have done as he was told?

His mum, she works the type right down London
While his dad's on the dole up North
Yet this kid ain't gonna hold out much longer
Cause this persecution thing is turning to force

So when papers are sold to public
By transmission in your living room
Kids of the ‘80s are just violent people
With no special reason for burning down Rome

Each war has a purpose
What about feelings, these kids aren't just clones
And I'll take a bet when they are grown up
That they will make sure they have no broken homes

Black and white kids they both got their problems
In this world that's so insecure
Some people don't believe in contraception
And some people somewhere are fighting a war

Last night a country was burned down to ashes
And the guv said what was it for
But if those kids lived to tell the story
